MAXIFY GX7021 How to change Scan to folder naming schema

Hello,
I am an IT technician for a company that has purchased a few of these model printers to replace some aging Canon MF741cdw printers in hopes of moving away from the cost of toner replacements.  We have found that this printer's scan-to-folder function works but defaults the name of the file you scanned to SCN_001.  I am hoping there is a way to change this to a searchable format like you can do with the Scan Gear software.  The Scan Gear software does not provide the solution for our use case, but the scan-to-folder function built into the printer does.

Hello,

I checked and unfortunately, it looks like that model does not have the ability to change the file name when using the scan to folder function. The other option would be to use the scan to PC option on the operation panel. You can select the name of one of the computers on the network that has the IJ scan utility installed. You can set the default name and save location in the scan utility, and it will save it using the settings.

Hi Hector,

Thank you for looking into this.  We came to the same conclusion and have moved on from this model of printer.
