When I try to scan, I get "connect the computer" error message. Te printer/scanner is connected. I can print documents without a hitch, but scanning does not work. Any help is appreciated.
Through the MF utility scanner the platen glass scanning began working, although I still can't scan using the touch screen on the printer itself.will not work. The feeder doesn't work at all, although I do hear the "beep" when I place papers inside it.

Hello Hmenc,
If you are able to scan using the MF scan utility but, you are unable to scan from the operation panel, it will usually mean the wrong connection is selected on the operation panel or security is blocking the scanner connection. In this situation, you can use the steps in the link HERE to see if you can select the PC1 option and start a scan. If the PC option does not appear, you can try unplugging your router from the power for 5 seconds and starting another scan.
