Request for Native ARM64 Windows Driver Support for MAXIFY GX7000 Series

Dear Canon Support Team,

Thanks for your support.

I am writing to request official support for Windows on ARM (ARM64) drivers for the MAXIFY GX7000 series (e.g., GX7192).

Currently, when using Windows 11 on ARM devices, Canon printers can only operate via the built-in Microsoft IPP Class Driver. While this allows basic functionality, it results in several significant limitations:

  • Noticeable delay due to repeated printer discovery (“Finding printer…”)

  • Limited or missing access to advanced features (e.g., duplex settings in some configurations)

  • Inconsistent or restricted scanning functionality

  • Inability to install Canon’s official driver package due to lack of ARM64 support

These constraints make the user experience significantly less efficient compared to x86/x64 environments, where Canon’s full-featured drivers are available.

As ARM-based Windows devices are becoming more widely adopted, native ARM64 driver support is increasingly important to ensure full compatibility and usability.

Therefore, I would like to kindly request:

  • Availability of native ARM64 Windows drivers for the MAXIFY GX7000 series

  • Or any official roadmap or plan regarding ARM support

Your support would greatly improve usability and performance for customers using modern ARM-based systems.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
Edward
