Color imageCLASS MF743Cdw not copying straight

When we use the top document feeder to make copies or scan to the computer they copies and scanned images are not straight. The document feeder every now and then wil also tray and eat the paper when running it through the feeder. I know the rollers are not dirty, we've only had the printer 2 1/2 months.

Hello Wcc_sfair,

If you have already checked the document feeder for any obstructions and made sure the guides are properly aligned, it looks like there is a problem with the feeder. In this situation, you can check your service options from your MyCanon account using the link HERE or you can contact support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to help and can provide any service options.

Greetings,

Documents have to be fed straight into the ADF for the copies or scans to be aligned or straight. Damaged, bend or folded pages can also mis-feed and cause alignment issues. Open the ADF and ensure there are no foreign materials. Torn page corners, staples, tape, etc. Ensure the feeder guides are also adjusted properly for the width of the paper. If the scan contains multiple pages, they should be "squared" so all edges are aligned before being placed in the feeder.
