IP110 Turns on for a few seconds, then shuts down on its own

Hi - my IP110 will turn on, power light goes on for a few seconds and it sounds like the printer is starting up as normal.  However, after a few seconds, before it gets to the point of being able to print, the printer simply turns off on its own.  Any suggestions on how I can correct this?  Thank you.

Hi thank you for the solution however I do not have one of those USB cables as my printer did not come with one. Would it be possible for Canon to send me one at your cost. I do not see why I should have to go and buy a cable and have to use resources therefore increasing my carbon footprint many thanks Charlie

Thanks for the support. That firmware update fixed the problem.
