The noise lasts for a few seconds and then the printer gives the 5100 error. I turn the printer off and use the cancel+start button combination and the printer turns on normally without the terrible noise. It sounds like the loud noise comes from the right or the back part of the printer and it sounds like a plastic gear is grinding very quickly against other gear or plastic part.
The printer prints test pages normally, but I have not managed to install the printer properly on my Windows 10 PC. Could the noise come from the scanner? Visually everything looks ok inside the printer and the scanner.

A couple of hints as to what is causing this.
1. The removal of paper, if it was rough, or if the paper was badly caught in the works, may well have put some cams out of order, or out of position.
There could be other things wrong also. Was the paper caught inside the printer, under the ink cartridge carriage perhaps?
Pull the power plug on the printer.
Open the printer, examine the interior. Grasp the carriage, if it is in a position to be grasped. See whether gentle pressure on it can move it back and forth - do not force it to move nor exert much pressure.
Note whether any loose parts might be caught in the works, or whether the carriage is at an extreme position to left or to right.
Note whether any parts are just plain flopping around loose in the interior - perhaps a thin plastic strip might have broken and be loose?
2. A screeching noise often indicates a misaligned or damaged paper feed roller. Open the printer cover and inspect rollers for debris or wear. Clean rollers gently with a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol. Check for any torn paper pieces stuck inside the feed path. If rollers are worn, consider replacing them. Regularly clearing paper jams carefully and avoiding overloading the tray helps prevent this issue.

Thanks for your reply Derrick.
It turned out that the problem was in the scanner - one of the gear rotors was broken. I decided to disable the scanner by simply cutting the wires, but the printer does not want to work without the scanner - after turning it on it gives error 5012. After the start+cancel button combination the printer turns on normally and I managed to install it, but it doesn't print anything - it gives printer error. Can I make the printer work without the scanner?

I disconnected the scanner wires from the printer board but the printer still gives the error 5012 after turning it on and when I try to print something it still says 'printer not responding'. I really hope that there is a way to make the printer work without the scanner.
