Hi All -
I've read all the threads and still can't get the EOS Webcam Utility working.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Here's what I have going on:
1. I'm on an Apple M1 Pro running macOS Ventura 13.4.1
2. Have a Canon RP with the latest firmware 1.6
3. Just installed the EOS Webcam Utility Pro v2.0
4. Have turned off wifi on my camera
5. Do not have the EOS Utility 3 running
6. Camera connected to my laptop with a USB C cable that I've tested as working. Camera screen showing the white laptop icon
7. Camera connected to external power source
8. Webcam utility and Zoom showing a "EOS WEBCAM UTILITY" screenshot below

Hey John - yes, that’s the one.

Probably should contact Canon support then. Register your product (if you haven't already done so) and contact them.

Try connecting the camera without an external power source. If you are using a cable and port adapters, then try to use a cable that does not require a port adapter.
The Webcam Utility has two operating modes. One mode is free, while the more advanced mode requires a paid subscription. You select the operating mode by selecting the appropriate camera.

Hey Wadizzle - thanks for jumping in!
1. Tried with battery vs external power and getting the same issue.
2. I'm using a usb-c (camera) to usb-c (laptop) cable. And no luck. I also tried HTML mini (camera) to a video capture card to usb (laptop) - and no luck there.
I'm at my wit's end... maybe something in the Mac software or the RP software... are there any settings on either that I should check out?
Thanks so much for all the help, y'all.
Chris

Hi, were you able to find a solution to this issue? I've been struggling for last 3 weeks, tried all solutions available on canon community and other resources. Nothing works. This 13.4.1 version upgrade on M1 chip has been a disaster.

I'm having the exact same issue, the only difference is my camera (EOS 6D, with latest firmware). I've tried a couple different cables, no luck. On an older, Intel-chipped Mac, with the older version of EOS Webcam utility, it does work -- so I know it's a software problem. Following this thread, in case someone posts a solution that works.

Sadly Canon is showing that they don't care about Mac support. I'm actually buying a different brand camera (as I write this) and thought I'd double check to see if Canon has changed it's ways.
If anyone is looking for a cheap M50, let me know. Very few photos were taken. Mostly used as a webcam until I switched back to Mac earlier this year and it has sat dormant....

Yeah, I gave up and bought a new camera (not a Canon) too. It's too bad they wouldn't address this issue.
