EOS Webcam Utility Not Working on M1 Mac

Hi All -

I've read all the threads and still can't get the EOS Webcam Utility working.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Here's what I have going on:

1. I'm on an Apple M1 Pro running macOS Ventura 13.4.1

2. Have a Canon RP with the latest firmware 1.6

3. Just installed the EOS Webcam Utility Pro v2.0

4. Have turned off wifi on my camera

5. Do not have the EOS Utility 3 running

6. Camera connected to my laptop with a USB C cable that I've tested as working. Camera screen showing the white laptop icon

7. Camera connected to external power source

8. Webcam utility and Zoom showing a "EOS WEBCAM UTILITY" screenshot below

Have you tried using EOS Webcam Utility Pro 2.0.30 (macOS)? The website claims it is compatible with macOS Ventura. However, I'm a bit hesitant to update my Mac in case it doesn't work. Has anyone else tried it yet? I'd appreciate some feedback from others who have tested it.Screenshot 26-07-2023 20-50-10.png

Do you have a Mac with an Intel chip or an M1?

If you have an M1 chip, my experience is that it doesn't work. The software runs, but the signal from the camera doesn't appear. If you have an Intel chip, it may work.

I have a M1 2020 Macbook Pro, Ive make the update to Ventura yesterday. Today morning I had a meeting with Teams, 2 hours, works fine, just like was in Monterey.

Ill continuing using and let you people know if I have any trouble.

Make sure your USB ports are enabled.  Some Apple updates disable them.

Hello chrisprotos,

I see that you said the EOS Utility is not running. Make sure to close the EOS Utility icon in the top right corner altogether. This may keep the Webcam Utility from connecting to the camera.
