I am trying to transfer some pictures that I took last week. Six of them transferred and the rest failed and said it was a corrupt/damaged file. I am now getting a busy message on my screen and can do nothing.

You can try recovering the corrupted images from the card using digital image recovery software. You will need a card reader to do this. We do not make this sort of software, so you may try searching the internet for this software. It is very common.
Once you are able to recover the images, I recommend that you reformat the memory card in the camera to clear it of all corrupted data. If you keep the card formatted from time to time after you download all images from the card, the chances for corrupted data to appear on the card are significantly lowered.
