I have a Cannon EOS-1D X Mark II. I would like to use my iPhone or iPad as external monitor or viewfinder. Is that possible with this camera? If so, what do (or how do I) need to make it happen. My iPhone is a 16 Pro Max. My iPad is a 10th Generation.
Thanks

😆 couple years ago we had a peacock show up in our yard - hung around a couple days. It was from a distant neighbor who has farm animals. I hear it from time to time. So I think I’ll like using the iPad however for the ease of use - still working on the iPhone issue.

ShotTaker.
Connections can be funny at times. My Android OTG (on the go) cable will recognize a thumb drive, but won't recognize my card reader. Go figure.

I see two solutions.
One, buy the Wi-Fi adapter. Two, connect the camera to a LAN / Router using the built in Ethernet port,
But, once you connect to one of the previously mentioned apps, camera control could switch to the app in a remote shooting mode.
