EOS R7 / image.canon - Trash button unusable due to auto transfer

jmesar

I recently installed image.canon, but noticed that automatic transfer was enabled. So every time I look a photo and want to delete it, the camera tells me it's sending. The trash button becomes unusable.

Uninstalling the app on the  phone didn't help, and in image.canon website doesn't offer an option to disable this automatic transfer.

What can I do to get the trash button back to normal use?

Greetings jmesar,

Thank you for providing us with the additional information. If the images are being sent to the image.canon web service, then let's also check the Automatic Image Transfer setting on the camera. The following link will show us the steps on how to get to that section of the camera's menu.

https://cam.start.canon/en/C005/manual/html/UG-07_Network_0070.html

We will select the cloud icon on the camera's screen and then disable "Auto send". Let's see if this helps resolve the issue.

Hi jmesar,

The automatic transfer is disabled through the camera menu. To do that press the Menu button on the camera, go to the Wi-Fi tab, select Wi-Fi Settings, and set Send to Smartphone After Shot to Disable. Once you've done that the camera should stop automatically transferring your images giving you the chance to delete the ones you do not want to keep.

The "Smartphone After Shot to Disable" was already so2-Sending please wait.jpg1-Sending.jpg0-Auto send-Disabled.jpg
