Hello... I'm having some trouble with my EOS R10.
Despite having an empty 256GB SD card, my camera only lets me record between 53-54 minutes of footage (it has a time code countdown posted in the corner) and then once my time runs out I get a message saying my card is full.
I've been uploading, and emptying the card after each take, which is such a pain - but I haven't found a way around this. The files I'm uploading are all well under 20GB each, so the card shouldn't be full.
Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

Hi Kathy and welcome:
There are video recording limits outside those of the card size, but also the card type. They are listed on P255 of the Advanced User Guide and I recommend you read that whole section of the manual. Specifically, you should note that the limit of the file system used for the SDHC cards, which is FAT 32, has a maximum file size of 4GB on P260, as per this. This might be a factor in your issue.
I hope this helps with your question.

Kathy6,
That may just be the nature of the game. A lot depends on the frame rate you are shooting at. With lower frame rates l8ke 30 or 60fps, your recording time should be limited to 2 hours per file. Higher frame rates cut down on the time limit.
You should refer to your manual about video recording limits.
Maybe the message you are getting means that file is full, and that you need to create a new file, or new movie.
