EOS R10 Guidance Needed: Turning Off Auto ISO for Video

I’m looking for help with turning off auto ISO for video recording. I want to get back to using manual settings, but I’m not sure how to disable the auto ISO. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The first step to becoming a videographer is to become a photographer.  You have to learn how to walk before you can learn how to run.  

Do you know how to change the settings when the camera is in photo mode?  It should work the same way in video mode.

Thanks for your input, but I’m specifically asking about disabling auto ISO in video mode. I’m already familiar with adjusting settings in photo mode, but the workflow seems different here. If you have any direct tips on turning off auto ISO for video, I’d really appreciate it.

I have a T8i, so I can't promise that your camera will behave the same way, but this is what I have learned about my own camera:

When shooting video, in order to adjust ISO directly, you have to be in full Manual Mode. In that scenario, the ISO button is available to me, and ISO can be fully adjusted.

If I am in Av or TV Mode, the camera reverts to and behaves like the P Mode. The camera sets the shutter speed and aperture. It also sets the ISO, but the ISO can be adjusted to a small degree by adjusting your exposure compensation. This will be 2 or 3 stops of EC, depending on your particular camera. The ISO button is not available in those two Modes.

I’m shooting in Manual mode, and I’ve already set up my ISO manually. However, when I start recording video, I notice that "Auto ISO" kicks in, even though I haven’t set it to Auto in the ISO menu. It seems like the camera overrides my manual settings once recording starts.

I’ve been trying to figure out where this setting might be controlled. I’ve adjusted a few things recently, so I might have changed something unintentionally. If anyone has insight into why this might happen or where to look for the setting, I’d really appreciate it!

I'm sorry. I don't have an answer for you. Perhaps in one of the menu settings?

Just as an aside, have you downloaded a copy of your manual in pdf format yet? I've found it incredibly helpful in getting answers to specific questions using the search function in a pdf reader like Acrobat.
