Clean footage from the EOS R10: Image stabilization artifacts

Just wanted to ask your opinion on how I can get the cleanest footage from my canon r10 + Sigma 18-50 2.8. Whether I should use the digital stabilization modes which crop in, but they create a warpy video. Or whether I should leave all stability settings of and try resolving it in da Vinci resolve. Since my camera doesn't have ibis and the lens doesn't have image stabilization https://1921681254.mx/

I think I would use a tripod whenever you can. Is the 4K cropped on the R10?

The R10 is already a cropped sensor, and if you put 4K on top of that, you're probably looking at a crop factor of about 3X.

On my camera, (a T8i), the manual recommends turning off Digital Movie Stabilization if you turn off the IS on your lens, but since your lens doesn't have IS, so you might as well disable DMS anyway.

I personally don't like the Digital Movie Stabilization, and have it disabled on my camera.

Is the camera at a fixed position when you’re recording?  Or, is it on the move?

Capturing video is unlike capturing photos. If the camera is at a fixed position, then use a tripod with Movie Digital IS disabled. 

If the camera is on the move, then you may want to use a gimbal stabilizer, instead of the Movie Digital IS.

EOS R10 can shoot 4K with or without a crop, there are both options when the recording resolution is selected.

It could be that the lens and camera optimisation for digital movie stabilisation is not ideal, though as these are lenses licensed for the RF-S mount then I would hope it was ok.
