I did a shoot last night with my EOS R of a dance performance. 12,800 ISO with a 70-300 Canon lens. In almost all of the vertical images and many of the horizontal images I got what I will call "banding lines" in the shot. It was LED theatrical lighting. Why? Can it be fixed in post?

It's very likely the lighting was switching on and off, too rapid for you to see it but the camera could.
Can you fix it in post ....... almost certainly not.

What was your shutter speed? The dark areas could be due to flicker of the lights.
Agreed that it may be very difficult to fix in post. Did you capture in RAW? If so you could try making a mask/selection defining the dark areas, then raise exposure. But that seems like a long shot.
