I recently acquired a used Canon EOS R with a a damaged LCD assembly. The screen works well and shows no issues, but the back cover is dinged and scraped up pretty bad. Looks like there are 4 screws holding the cover on, and I’m hoping I can swap the rear cover without having to remove the entire LCD assembly. Has anyone out there replaced this part before? Is there anything I should be aware of like weather sealing for the LCD assembly?

For parts, you can try Canon, US Camera or eBay.
You may want to consider sending the camera to Canon for repair. They can inspect it as well. Might be money well spent on a used device.

US Camera also sells parts manuals
You'll have to see if the cover can be removed by itself. I've never tried. Someone might also reply to your reddit post.
