The focal length ring on the RF 24-104 F4 seems tighter than the focal length ring on the RF 24-70 F2.8. Is that normal or are the focal length rings on Canon RF lenses supposed to be the same on all of the various Zoom lenses?

Hello bartonke the zoom ring should never be stiff or hard to turn. If it is I recommend having Canon service the lens.

Do you have the focal length lock switch engaged or partially engaged on the RF 24-104 lens?
