R5 and TAMRON SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD/Model A011E
Just purchased an R5 and my tamron lens won't operate on the camera. At first it will show image on screen and evf and when I try and focus and take photo camera lock up. Lens is a early version and not a G2. Any possible solutions.
Thanks

It would appear that your DSLR lens is not compatible with Canon R Series MILC bodies. If your camera firmware is up-to-date you may be out of luck.
The lens firmware would need to be checked and updated by the manufacturer, which assumes that your lens is still supported by Tamron. I doubt it.

I was thinking it wasn't compatible any more. Just thought I'd ask to see if there was any solution. Tamron doesn't support that lens. Thanks for the response.
