So I was given this lens, it does not have the AF-MF switch, was wondering if there is a solution, still useable, or any advice or comments! Thanks I’m advance!

See if Canon can repair it. Also, if it's currently stuck in the manual position, that won't be very convenient to use.

What camera do you have?
A brand new 75-300 mark III costs around $200 U.S., so IMO repair isn't an option as it would more than likely cost more to repair than the lens is worth, if Canon even has the parts for this unit. If you like the range and the image quality meets your needs, buy a new one. Or, you could buy a newer or refurbished EF 70-300 mark II. Canon has several on their website. I own this lens and it is very nice.

Getting a quote for repair won't cost too much. Just shipping. I realize you got the lens for free.
If repair turns out to be cost prohibitive, the 70~300 is a higher quality alternative. Like Demetrius, I also own this lens. Very good for the price.

Actually I own the 70-200mm F/2.8 Mark III. I've never owned the 70-300mm lens lineup. Though I've used all versions 70-300mm lens lineup which are very nice lenses. Compared to Canon's 75-300mm lens lineup.

You may be able to insert a suitably sized rod in the square opening and move the slider to the position you want. Then cover opening with gaffer tape or duct tape.

I like John' suggestion because repair isn't an option or worth it for that lens.
