Canon R6V AF grayed out.

Brand New R6V and 20-50 Lens. Camera not zooming in or out and switch on lens is set to AF. In the menu AF is grayed out and from what I read on the web I should be able to choose this option in order for the lens to work. I upgraded the firmware for the camera to (R6V11000.FIR). I see in the firmware that the lens also can be updated its at ver.1.0.6 but I have not found an update for the lens. When I try to choose AF message that populates is " use lens switch to set". This is my first camera of this caliber, and I am new to Cannon. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. I got this camera yesterday for something I wanted to shoot today, I guess no big deal as can manually focus but that's not what I paid for.

To be clear, the Servo AF appears in the bottom left corner with a green dot. When switched to MF on the lens, it shows MF on the LCD screen. So the switch works, but when using T/W, nothing happens.

Greetings,

Can you please clarify the following for us.  Does the camera AF or are you not able to zoom using the rocker switch?  Or is it both.

What position is the PZ/MZ Switch in?  (Zoom mode selector ).  Should be set to PZ.

Thank you that was the fix!  Reading is fundamental not sure why they didn't put this in the camera pdf because they discuss the lens and setting it up. Thanks again.
