white line at bottom of scanned image on canon mp460

When we scan an image on an mp460 canon printer using windows 7 64 bit there is a white line that shows up at the bottom of the scanned image.  the white line is not on the original picture just on the scan.

the white line is about 4 pixels or so high.

i have reinstalled mp navigator 3 (fresh download from canons site).

Any ideas of what is going on?

If you take a known good image and make a photocopy directly from the printer, do you experience the same issue?
