ImageRunner Advance not recognizing paper

Trying to print out some cards using the multi-purpose try, but the printer keeps saying to "Load Paper" even when we have the cards in the tray. What are we doing wrong?   

MX 726 all in one

I have a MX726 all in one. If I place a picture on the glass, it prints out fine but only scans about a third of it when I ask it to take scan it to jpeg. Can anyone help?
