I bought my daughter a mg2920 last year for collage. I bought her some ink to start off this year. She said about middle of last year the alarm lamp was solid and she hasnt used it since then. I now have her printer and before I buy a new one, is there any way to reset it?
I have unplugged it from the back for over an hour, that didnt work.
I have unplugged the black box from the back of the printer via the little plug, that didnt work.
I have tried all this with and with out ink in the printer.
Any help would be great.

The color is orange. It is solid, not flashing at all.
