Scanning not working on PIXMA MX922 since upgrading iMac to Big Sur

I'm on Big Sur 11.5, but since I got a new iMac and had Big Sur, not all function of my printer have worked correctly. First I downloaded a new printer driver and now I can print. But it still won't scan. I downloaded the latest scanner driver. Still nothing. Got message that it couldn't work with the current My Image Garden. Installed newest version. As a side note, years of scans now gone. Still doesn't scan, but I get the message: The scanner is assigned to ImageCapture. Do you want to use the scanner with TWAIN? I don't know what the heck TWAIN is. Should I just say YES? Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Hi jmazzeo,

 

Please open ImageCapture and attempt to scan.  Are you able to scan?  If not, what error code appears?

 

Are you using your PIXMA MX922 wirelessly?  Or with a USB cable?
