I have scangearmp2 successfully running on Fedora Linux 41 and working with both MG3600 and TR7200 printer. The program does not report its version but a scan of the binary leads me to think it is version 3.40. Although the program works and successfully produces PDFs by scanning, it also outputs a copious number of error messages in the forms, "GLib-GIO-CRITICAL ... file ../gio/gfileinfo.c: line 1632 (g_file_info_get_is_hidden): should not be reached" and "GLib-GIO-CRITICAL ... GFileInfo created without standard::is-hidden"..
Do others see the same error? While it seems to be labeled CRITICAL, are there any serious defects related to the message?
Do I have the latest version of scangearmp2? If not, where can I obtain a newer version. I do not recall where I originally obtained my copy.
