Printer thinks ink cartridge is incorrectly installed

My printer has just started giving me an error telling me to install the ink cartridge correctly.  It is giving me the error even though it is installed correctly.  I have tried to reboot the printer several times and reinstalled it also.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
