PIXMA MG360 Printer Registering Incorrect Ink Cartridge

Hi everyone! I've been fighting with my Canon PIMXA MG3620 printer for two days now and I desperately need help! It keeps telling me that I have the incorrect black ink cartridge installed when I have been using this ink cartridge for the past month or two and haven't had any problems. So of course, I Googled what my issue is and have tried everything the internet has suggested. Cleaning the copper contacts on the ink cartridge, unplugging it for 60 seconds and restarting it, etc, nothing has worked. So that lead me to here. AI was completely unhelpful, it's telling me to print off a firmware update, which obviously didn't work because the issue is with my printing capabilities. I'm unable to find any way of contacting a support desk or help center where I can talk with an actual person, so I am really hoping that somebody here knows how I can resolve this issue. My job requires that I am able to print multiple times per day, so I am desperate! Please help!

If you removed the cartridge cleaned the contacts both on the cartridge and inside the printer and re-installed it and you still have the error message, then I suspect you need to replace the ink cartridge. If it is a third party cartridge then that makes it more likely you need to replace it. I know this does not make much sense since you have used it for a month, but it would not be the first time a Canon printer threw an error like this after the a third party cartridge has been in use Replacing  it has cleared the error. If it is a genuine Canon cartridge then we still could have a cartridge chip failure. Either way, that is the first thing I would do is replace it. My printer is an MG3620 and I will send you a PM with further information.
