Hey, I just got a Pixma Canon iX6820 and the ink carriage won't move left to right. When I turn it on there is a loud clicking noise as the carriage tries to move a little but it seems stuck. I was able to print one time until this happened and it was working perfectly fine. Please help.

If it is brand new then check inside the printer and make sure you removed all the shipping protection. Any pieces of tape left in the printer can jam the print carriage.

Please help the exact same thing is happening to me and it is brand new out of the box, never used before. I have looked everywhere there is no shipping tape or any packaging in the way.

It takes a minute or more once you apply power for it to quit grinding and flashing before the carriage moves to the ink install position. It is normal for the orange light to flash, which indicates no ink is installed yet.
