It was working recently! I only print a few pages/week. Now it does not print black text. I have Windows 11, fully updated. I've rebooted the PC. I've followed online troubleshooting pages mentioning this problem, tho not for this specific printer. Those didn't change my problem. I've tried fitting new "B" and "PGBK" cartridges. It WILL print color pictures, and non-black print.
I've seen mention of 'cleaning cycles' - I don't know how to do that. Or perhaps there is some driver refresh that needs to be installed?
The cleaning cycles would just be the normal print head cleaning and deep cleaning. You can find more information about cleanings HERE.
If you have performed at least 2 cleanings, 1 deep cleaning and it still wont print correctly with the Canon cartridges installed, then your printer would require service.
If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
