PIXMA TS3722 ink cartridge page yield

I love this little printer, however, I just purchased it and probably printed 25 pages, and the black ink cartridge needs to be replaced. Has anyone else encountered this?  Also, is there an app for this printer to see how many pages I have printed, what the ink levels are, etc.?   Many thanks!

Hi RLW1982,

The page yield from the initial ink cartridges may be lower because of the initial setup.

There isn't an app that shows the page count, but you can print a test page which will show you a range.  To do ths, please press the wrench and screwdriver button on your printer until "1" appears on the display.  Next, press the color or the black Start button.  The test page will print with the range of pages printed listed at the bottom.

I experienced the same thing. I have tried replacing it and it has an error code and I can’t get it to work!! I’m extremely frustrated!!

I have other Canon printers that work fine, but the TS3722 being so cheap proves the point you get what you pay for.  I have now bought 3 color and 3 b/w cartridges.  This printer is not worth it if it were free.

Save your money and don't buy this one.  I just threw mine away.

Cartridges that come with most new printers, any that do not have tanks, are just test cartridges, filled less than half way. I think that is why printers are cheap, and the ink is not cheap at all. It is also obvious that many printers will only work with the printer name brand refills now as well.
