PIXMA TS3522 how to print 8" x 10" photos

How can you sell a photo printer where people are locked into sizes?? I bought this crap printer and when I tried to print some 8x10's I couldn't. I tried everything, trying to set to A2 8.5x11 nothing works. I am glad I got this thing cheap for 35$ from Walmart black Friday, this print isn't worth 35$ if you can't use it HOW YOU WANT TO. I will never buy Canon ever again!

I purchase this printer last month and notice it kept printing 4x7 photos I been playing around with it some how I got it to print a 8x10 but for got the steps, and trying to print another 8x10 I should not have to go thru this with a printer 8x10 is a normal   print size not4x7 and the information about it only printing these of beat size's was no where on the box why

Thanks for  replying. The reason it is not printed on the box, is because Canon is a crappy company. Even after I submitted info they requested, now MONTHS later no replies, nothing, worse customer support.

I have since given the printer away to a charity and they even said it is cheap worthless and the printer was no better. My advise is to avoid Canon in the future.

Set the paper to plain as opposed to photo paper then it will print an 8x10 photo on any paper. I compared this to my ten year old Brother printer that printed decent glossy photos until it quit loading photo paper, and the quality is the same.  This works from Windows Photo viewer and if the image is converted to a PDF works from any PDF viewer as well. It is a junky work around but for 49 bucks what the heck. FYI, I cannot determine what Canon all in one has an 8x10 photo setting that actually works. Sorry Canon but this printer is new and I think now I should have gone with an Epson all in one even though, unlike yours, it did not call itself a photo printer.

I have adjusted my opinion a bit, one advantage I think this printer has over Epson and Brother when printing photos including 8x10 glossys,   is no paper tray so the paper does not get bent backwards and then wants to jam. A photo jam killed my Brother printer, something went wrong with photo paper loading, will not move it out of the tray, worked for ten years however.

You get what you pay for. Anyone who wants a good photo printer should not be buying a $35.00 printer. For some, the $35.00 model may be all they need. That's why Canon and others have ranges of models to choose from. If you don't read specs before buying, it's not Canon's fault.
