PIXMA TS202 on macOS 13.6 - can't delete jobs since I'm not an "Admin"

The software (called "Canon TS200 series") won't let me delete jobs since I'm not an administrator.  This is on my own laptop, I'm the only user.

Anyone have any suggestions?  Seems like a pretty stupid bit of programming.

Hi! Thanks for posting in the Canon Community Forum. I see that you are unable to delete the jobs for your PIXMA TS202 ion your Mac computer.

Your computer should have added the printer using AirPrint over USB since a Mac Driver is not needed for your TS202. If you are getting a message saying you must be logged in as an Administrator, you may need help for Mac AirPrint.

Before reaching out to Mac for help with the AirPrint function of your computer, you can try deleting the printer and adding a new copy. To do that, please do the following:

  1. Turn the printer off and leave it turned off. You can press the power button to turn it off.
  2. Click on the Apple icon in the menu bar on the top of your computer screen.
  3. Click on SYSTEM SETTINGS.
  4. Click on PRINTERS AND SCANNERS in the left column (may need to scroll down to find it).
  5. Click on the Canon TS200 series and select the option to remove/ delete it.
  6. If you are asked if you want to delete the printer, select yes.
  7. Once the printer is deleted, make sure that the USB cable is properly connected at both ends.
  8. Turn the printer back on.
  9. Wait for a new copy of the Canon TS200 series to appear in the list of printers. It may take a minute or two to appear.

If a new copy of the Canon TS200 does not appear, please make sure that the power lamp on the printer is steady and that the orange alarm lamp is not blinking. If the alarm lamp is not blinking, please restart your computer while the printer is turned on and connected to your computer. Then, skip step 1 and perform steps 2 through 4. When the Printers and Scanners window, please check if a new copy of the printer is added (may take a minute).

After a new copy of the printer is deleted, you should be able to print. You should also be able to delete any print jobs that don’t print and stay in the print queue window.

If the alarm lamp is blinking, please reply to this message and let us know which error it is experiencing. You can visit the following page of the manual for information about the errors:

https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TS200%20series/EN/NTR/ntr_t_07_01_c.html

If a new copy of the printer does not show up after you restart your computer and there is no printer error, please contact Mac and let them know that the AirPrint option is on your computer is not working properly. If you can add the printer, but you are still being told that you need to be logged in as an Administrator, please contact Mac and let them know your computer is displaying that message.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing Canon.
