I have already had a call with a Canon support person and he told me to unplug my BRAND NEW (about 3 weeks old!) printer for 24 hours, then plug it back in to reset it. I did that but again it just started printing a PDF document with a black background, so dumping a huge amount of black ink on the page. I can usually work around it if I choose to print in color, rather than black and white. But how can I stop this from happening?
I'm printing from a MacBook Air.

Hi,
Does this happen with any document with text or do you see this only with PDF files?
We look forward to your reply.

Can you post a link to the PDF file so we can examine it?
