PIXMA TR8620a: Unable to scan and save to computer from the control panel

mws_1984
Contributor

Canon TR8620a

Windows 10

USB connection

I am having an issue scanning to computer from the control panel. I get this message. I have gone into the settings to be sure it is set to save to the canon scanner folder. Yet it still gives me this. I can scan to print just fine. My local USB network is established. I can do everything but scan to file. 472081233_4077155125867215_6763456966126196787_n.jpg

Greetings,

The error message indicates the path to the folder where the printer is trying to save your scanned file or document to does not exist.

This is a configuration issue, not a problem with the device.

All you would need to do is specify a path to the destination folder where you want scans to be saved to.

Welcome to the forum!

Updated the post with the info. Just set this up after the same printer I had decided to not print properly after 2 years. No support was given at all for that. Several cleanings and test prints did nothing. So just bought a new one. Hoping this one lasts longer than 2 years.

Seem to have figured it out now. I guess the existing folder I had from the previous same printer it was not letting me go to that one.
