Recently replaced both color and black cartridges and now the black ink is not aligning properly. I have done all of the maintenance steps multiple times (including nozzle cleaning, auto and manual alignments, roller cleanings). I have also tried removing the cartridge and replacing it as well as cleaning the encoder strip twice.
I am attaching two examples of prints. The one should be a black straw but it appears as two dark color straws and the other you can see in the text that there appears to be a "shadow" effect where the ink is not placed correctly (also along the wing outlines). I have tried multiple different images, varied papers weights and sizes with no change.

Very strange. You could try removing and reinstalling the cartridges. If that doesn’t work register your product and give Canon support a call.
