My Pixma TR4720 was working yesterday on my Mac Powerbook Pro and my Mac mini, both running Tahoe OS26.2. I updated to OS 26.3 this morning and when I try to print you'll see the Print button is greyed out even though I reset the printer connection, and used the Master Startup download to establish a connection between my computer and the printer over my wireless network. I unplugged and reset the printer. I called Apple Support and they tried everything. They were even able to be help my use my iPhone to print on the Pixma using AirPrint. But nothing they could do could get the printer to work on the latest OS. I (and the Apple tech) have the feeling that perhaps the issue is on Canon's end. Is this something that can be addressed on Canon's side? Is anyone else having a problem with their Canon printer and OS 26.3? Am I going to have to buy a new printer? Thanks for any help! #Pixma TR4720

The Canon Pixma TR4720 may not be compatible with Apple OS 26.3, as users have reported issues with it functioning properly on various macOS versions. It is advisable to check for any available driver updates or consider using AirPrint if your devices are on the same network.

Try reinstalling the driver. That seems to be a common need with macOS updates.

Hi Derrick, I am trying to ascertain whether Canon is aware of this issue. As I mentioned, the printer was functioning on OS 26.2 two days ago. It seems odd that Canon would stop supporting OS 26 when they have been up to 26.2. You can select OS 26 for software downloads on the Canon Pixma 4720 page. And they haven't offered a driver for their Apple users for a while as the printer functions using AirPrint. I have typically reset the printer and used the Master Setup which has worked previously to re-establish a wireless connection - and the printer has always function

Thanks John. Please see my comment to Derrick above. Open to additional thoughts.

The software you need is "Master Setup"
You can also completely uninstall and reinstall the most current software (and re-pair your printer) by visiting https://ij.start.canon/tr4720 - follow the prompts to connect to a computer/smartphone.

If you reinstalled the Canon software and it didn't work I don't have any other thoughts. If you didn't reinstall it's worth a try.

Hi Stephen, I performed this step 3 times with no luck. As I mentioned, I can print from my iPhone, but my Apple computer doesn't seem to be able to 'add' the Canon printer. It could add it with OS26.2. It isn't adding it on OS26.3. I unplugged and reset the printer. I used Master Setup for OS 26 repeatedly. No luck.

Have you done the re-install from the ij.start site?
If so, then the next step is support. You'll find your personalized options in your Canon Account at https://canon.us/account
