I just bought the Pixma tr4720. I can only print a test page. No documents will print other than a test page. Any recommendations?

Error message: Printer not responding

Hi,
When you installed the printer, did you download the printer software from the Canon website or just select Add printer on your computer?
Also when you go to print, do the print name appear in a print preview window or does it list another option like save to pdf?
