PIXMA G7020 scanning questions: stack of pages? duplex scanning?

I have been a Canon user for many years.  I had to replace my old Canon (worked great) with a Pixma G7020.  I would like to be able to do two things with the scanner:

1. Scan a stack of pages, each representing something different that could be stored a PDF file.  Example Scan an electric bill, a gas bill and an insurance bill at one time.  Select and save each page as a separate PDF file.

2. Duplex scan without having to take the document and and turning it over.

If these are not possible with the IJ Scan software, is there software available that will work with the device.

Hi drcsue,

The PIXMA G7020 does not have the ability to automatically scan both sides of a page.

When using the Document function of the IJ Scan Utility, you can select JPEG/ExifTIFFPNGPDF, or PDF (Multiple Pages) as how the scan is saved.

If you choose PDF, each page will be saved as an individual PDF file.

If you choose PDF (Multiple Pages), all of the items scanned will be saved in a single PDF file.

This option can be found by clicking the Settings button on the IJ Scan Utility and then clicking Document Scan on the left side.

More information regarding this can be viewed in the manual here:

G7000 series > Scanning from Computer (Windows) > Scanning Documents and Photos

G7000 series > Scanning from Computer (macOS) > Scanning Documents and Photos
