Greetings,

For our benefit, does this mean you had installed the IJ Scanner lite utility v4.2.0 also?

Sometimes when you re-install drivers over a failed printer instance things can go wrong, do not get fixed or resolved.

How is the printer connected and to what?  Wi-Fi, USB, etc?

We'll await your reply.

Yes I have installed both the Master setup and the Scanner lite utility. Several times…. all the scanner utility shows is a previous (uninstalled) printer. when searching, it does not find the new printer/scanner

If the IJScanner lite is finding an old printer/scanner then it is obviously not uninstalled. If you follow the steps below you will need to reinstall the software for your G3270, however you should have better results this time.

Uninstalling a Printer/Scanner from macOS Tahoe 26.2

To completely uninstall a printer or scanner from your Mac running macOS Tahoe 26.2, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access Printers & Scanners Settings

  1. Open the Apple menu.
  2. Select System Settings.
  3. Click on Printers & Scanners in the sidebar.

Step 2: Remove the Printer/Scanner

  1. In the list of printers on the right, control-click (or right-click) the printer or scanner you want to remove.
  2. Choose Remove Printer from the context menu.
  3. Confirm the removal by clicking Remove Printer again.

Step 3: Reset the Printing System (Optional)

If you want to remove all printers and reset the printing system:

  1. In the Printers & Scanners settings, control-click anywhere in the printer list.
  2. Select Reset Printing System.
  3. Enter your administrator password when prompted and confirm the reset.

Step 4: Delete Printer Drivers (If Necessary)

To ensure all associated files are removed:

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Go to Go > Go to Folder.
  3. Type /Library/Printers and press Enter.
  4. Locate and delete any folders related to the printer or scanner you uninstalled.

Step 5: Restart Your Mac

After completing these steps, restart your Mac to ensure all changes take effect.

Following these steps will help you completely uninstall a printer or scanner from your Mac.

i have already deleted the old printer. only printer listed in the printer list is the new printer.  When going to the /library/printers folder, there is NO printer listed.
