PIXMA TR4720 No scanners were detected error

When I try to scan, I keep getting this message:  "No scanners were detected.  If a scanner is installed, make sure that it is powered on and connected to the computer, and then try again.  For information about adding or troubleshooting scanners, see Help and Support.'

My printer/scanner has worked just fine in the past and it currently prints.  It is powered on and connected via Bluetooth.  I have followed one suggestion of unplugging it for 30 seconds, then restarting Windows (version 10), then trying to scan again.  It still does not work.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
