Maxify MB5320 detected as scanner but not printer after upgrading to Win11

I just completed an upgrade of my PC from Win10 Pro to Win11 Pro.   This was actually more of a reinstallation while keeping data, so I needed to reinstall drivers for all of my hardware.

My MB5320, which was working fine as a printer and scanner under Win10, is currently only detected as a scanner.   The printer driver installer fails to detect it as a printer.   I've rebooted with the printer disconnected and turned off, and tried multiple USB ports while turning the print off and on.

Hello, and welcome to the Canon Community!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting your printer reinstalled after upgrading to Windows 11. I suggest using the guided setup at https://canon.us/mb5320setup - it will uninstall any existing (potentially incompatible) software or drivers, and reinstall the current version that is compatible.

If you get stuck or have questions, don't hesitate to contact support at https://canon.us/account or 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666).

The installer initially states that the printer is connected (with a green circle on a wire), and to wait while it finishes the setup.   However, it then says that "The printer is not detected"   I tried following the instructions again without any different results.

As far as the phone line, I'm trying to avoid having to pay for a service plan.
