PIXMA G3270: Color copies come out dark

bwmurphy
Apprentice

I just purchased a G3270 megatank. It prints fine when I send a document to print from my laptop. When I copy (not printing from my pc) the colors come out dark. for example bright yellow comes out dark yellow (almost orange), light gray comes out black. I tried to adjust the quality and intensity. no difference. I'm copying to card stock but only have plain paper listed on the copier menu. I copied to plain paper and had the same issue. How can I adjust the color and change the paper to cardstock?

Hi bwmurphy,

First, let's perform a test of your printer.  Please load plain paper into your G3270, turn your G3270 on and then follow these steps:

1.  Press the Home button on your PIXMA G3270 one time.

2.  Press the down arrow 2 times to select Maintenance and press the OK button.

3.  Press OK on Nozzle Check.

4.  "Do you want to print..." will appear.  Yes is already selected.  Press the OK button.

5.  The paper is loaded in the rear tray, please press the OK button again.

A test page will print.

Please take a photo of the page that printed and then reply to this post with that image included.
