I spent about 4 hours yesterday trying to set up this printer for an elderly friend of mine. She bought the printer primarily to print photos and receipts off her phone and also to copy. both the color and blank and white copies work. she has the correct cannon print app on her phone. when I try and connect the printer to the app on the phone all goes well but when I put in the serial number (AHDU[xxxxx]) It tries to connect and comes back with could not connect invalid password If the password is not the attached serial number how do I find a password that will work or is the printer defective?

Android Samsung S22 with the latest operating system. current version of Canon print for this printer.
