MacBook Pro: El Capitan won't print to Pixma 860

Hi,

I got my MacBook Pro (brand new) to see my Canon wireless printer, but when I send something to print, it tells me the printer is offline,when it isn't. I can print from one of my PC laptops, but not from the Mac.

Any ideas?

Have you installed all the latest software?

Yes, as far as I can tell, I have all the software installed. I had to go to that link and dowload the software to be able to even find the printer. Still not sure why it says the printer is offline when it isn't.

Any help is appreciated.
