Canon PIXMA MX472, Windows 10 64-bit, Error 1003 with paper loaded.
The printer was printing a job and stopped after about half of the pages were printed with the error 1003 "Paper has run out." There was still a stack of paper on the feed tray. I have tried different stack sizes, cleaning the feed rollers, used electronics canned air duster to dust interior components. I got two more pages to print by pushing the top of the stack in against the feed rollers but achieved no further success. This caused the printer to pull multiple pages at once. I have turned off the printer and left it unplugged for more than 30 minutes a few times without success. Is there a sensor or sensor contact that needs address, perhaps with cleaning? I can find no information on how to address this particular problem. Any help is appreciated.

Hello.
So, yeah, I really do not want to get another printer, but I will if I have to. As this is an MFP the scanner still works fine. My biggest objection is that it looks like I recently purchased a box of high-capacity ink cartridges, and this means that they will go to waste never mind the expense. It also has an ARC thrift store tag of $15. It was registered with Canon on 11-16-2019 under my then legal name. I cannot verify these things (for personal reasons), I just understand that they happened.
I need to consider my options before I make a decision one way or another. I can also accept the response as a solution, as unsatisfying as it is (and no offense meant to the person responding), since it seems there is nothing more that can be done to correct the issue of this printer.
Thank you.
