Canon MG6821 Error No Paper Can I clean the rollers?

I've had my printer for a number of years and recently it won't feed the paper to print and I'm getting a No Paper error or if I manually feed the paper it jams.  Is there any way to clean the rollers that feed the paper to print?

Steps to Clean the Roller

To effectively clean the paper feed roller on your Canon MG6821, follow these steps:

  1. Access Maintenance Screen
    • Turn on your printer.
    • Navigate to the Maintenance screen.
  2. Select Roller Cleaning

    • Tap on "Roller cleaning."
    • A confirmation screen will appear.
  3. Prepare for Cleaning

    • Remove any paper from the cassette.
    • Load three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper into the cassette.
  4. Start the Cleaning Process

    • Open the paper output tray gently.
    • The cleaning process will begin automatically.
  5. Completion

    • Wait for the paper to be ejected.
    • When the completion message appears, tap "OK."

Important Notes

  • Cleaning the roller should only be done when necessary, as it may wear out the roller over time.
  • If the issue persists after cleaning, consider contacting a service center for further assistance.
