Pro-1100 Banding Throughout Print After Bottom Plate Cleaning and Roller Cleaning

Hi,

I ran a bottom plate cleaning and roller cleaning maintenance, and now all of my prints have some degree of horizontal banding, where each print line is visible (in some cases extremely visible, and other times just with raking light). The print lines are visible throughout the print, and sometimes is worse at the beginning or end (but still visible in the middle as well). This happens with RedRiver papers as well as Canon Pro Luster paper, so it seems to be happening on all my prints regardless of paper type and size. I'm printing with Professional Print & Layout with high quality.

I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the paper profiles I'm using, as well as done paper feed adjustments. I've also tried a nozzle check and print head alignment, but that hasn't solved the problem, either.

My printer also sounds louder when it prints and had errors printing several times since then as well (never started one print and the motor just whirring very fast for like five-ten minutes, refusing to stop, and then, just now, it paused in the middle of a print and I had to wait several minutes until it finally kicked the half-finished print out).

I'm sort of out of ideas on what to do, and Canon customer service isn't open today. I'm starting to think it might be a physical problem with my printer rather than print settings or configurations.

Greetings,

Unfortunately there's really no way for us to do anything more than speculate.  Were you having issues that required maintenance?  I think Canon support is going to be your best bet in this case.  1-800-652-2666.
