For no reasons my Canon MG6820 start to add a left vertical black stripe when I scan. I try to clean the platen glass many times without positive result. I can't beleive that I need to replace my printer for which all the other function going well for a dawn black stripe.
The scanner element in your printer has gone bad and the printer would need to be replaced.
