Resizing landscape and portrait images in DPP4

Real_Badman

Hi all,

So, I want to save edited files in DPP4 and resize them when saving, but...

If I want the max height of a portrait image to be 1000px and the max width of a landscape image to be 1000px do I have to save them seperately?

I guess, what i am looking for is a way to resize by "percentage". Is that even possible?

Welcome to the forum.

Check the "Maintain aspect ratio" box and then insert 1000 in each size box.

Ok, thank you, I thought that would result in all saved images being square.

As long as you check "Maintain aspect ratio" you will get what you want.

Thanks very much for the tip John. IMHO, it would be more straightforward if a percentage scaling option was available. Another approach would be to allow separate selection of landscape and portrait images.

Follow John's advice just above.  But if you want a final image that is 1000 x 1000, then you will need to change the aspect ratio of the image from the fault 3:2 to 1:1.  This should crop off the sides of the images to make it square.

Thanks. (for clarity)... I DO NOT want square images, I just want to resize portrait AND landscape images in a single process where the max size of the longest edge of any given image does not exceed 1000 pixels
