EOS Utility availability for macOS Sequoia

Does any of you tried to download EOS Utility for the last updated software in MAC? Still not available for me.

I’m using an M1 Mac Studio Max which is now running the latest update of Sequoia and connecting to a Canon EOS Rebel SL2 OR 200D in the rest of the world.

The key to my issue was that I needed to uninstall all previous versions of the Canon EOS Utility from my computer. That’s because one of them was running in the background and wouldn’t allow me to use the upgraded utility. Once I uninstalled the old versions I again downloaded the update and then restarted my computer. That turned out to be the sequence of events that was necessary for the upgrade to work correctly. Everything worked! I’m now up and running.

I have no idea what your issue is as long as the Canon camera you’re using is on in the list of supported Canon cameras but will add, make sure to follow my sequence and don’t deviate from it.

EOS Utility 3.18.41 on a MacBook Pro lalptop running Sequoia 15.1.1 definitely DOES NOT WORK! My 90D connects to the laptop and opens EOS Utility 3 -- but the options on the EOS window to download images are not highlighted -- dead links.  WHEN IS CANON GOING TO FIX THIS?

Ok, apologies for the frustration and all-caps earlier. It seems now to work! -- EOS Utility 3.18.41 on a MacBook Pro laptop running Sequoia 15.1.1. I downloaded that EOS version a few times, then scrubbed it from the system and tried other versions. My final try with 3.18.41 worked and the only thing I did different before attempting to launch the EOS was set my Mac screen resolution to its highest at 2048x1280. Normally I have it set lower, to alleviate eye strain. Otherwise I have no idea why the EOS suddenly woke up and worked . . .

Hi,

Should this work with Mac Sequoia?  I have Sequoia installed on my M1 MacBook Pro and everything ok the downloads page for Sonoma works. But with my main workstation (M1 Mac Mini) it first warns me about opening the downloaded file, expected, then when I click Open, I get an error, Application has unexpectedly closed.  Can’t get past this point.  My 5D Mark IV is on the list above.

Thanks

Hello,

At this time (December 10th) EOS Utility 3 version 3.18.41.0 working in a R5 MK II, doesn't do Live View Shot with Sequoia.

How come a 5 or 6 moths camera doesn't work with is own software, running in a OS also with several months?

Please update to the current version of the EOS Utility at https://canon.us/eu

If you still have problems after updating, please get in touch with support at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666).

Hello Stephen,

With all the respect, but are you a robot??? Did you even read what I wrote?
I AM running EOS Utility 3 version 3.18.41.0 working, a R5 MK II, that doesn't do Live View Shot with Sequoia 15.1.1.

Every other functions are ok, but Liveview Shot is a grey screen.

Hi.

I'm not a robot. As I said: "If you still have problems after updating, please get in touch with support at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666)."

You do need to make sure you have Live View enabled. The manual discusses this HERE.

It doesn’t work for me. I get an error message stating that I must turn off all apps that connect to my camera but nothing is on. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong. Any suggestions. Thank you.

Go to appz, delete canon utilities folder, update to sequoia 15.1, download this version of eos utility 3.18.5 from canon hong kong ,

it should work for you, it works very well for me on my macbook m2
